Ashoka Pandit took to Twitter to thank Bollywood star Ajay Devgn for helping the industry workers, who have been badly affected due to the Coronavirus lockdown.
New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi imposed a 21-day nationwide lockdown to combat the spread of Coronavirus. People are observing social distancing and working from home to keep the deadly virus at bay. The COVID-19 outbreak has severely impacted the daily wage workers as they are left without any job due to the lockdown. Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn has come forward to donate Rs 51 lakh for the industry workers, who have been affected due to the lockdown.
The ‘Golmaal Returns’ star gave Rs 51 lakh to Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) to help daily wage film workers. Ashoke Pandit, President of Indian Film & Television Directors’ Association, took to social media to thank Ajay Devgn for his contribution.

U have proved time & again, especially in times of crisis, that U are a real life #Singham. God bless U. #FWICEFightsCorona #IndiaFightsCorona,” Ashoke Pandit tweeted.
Salman Khan, who will be next seen in ‘Radhe’ opposite Disha Patani, has also pledged to help the 25,000-odd daily wage workers of the film industry. ‘Sooryavanshi’ director Rohit Shetty has also donated Rs 51 lakh for the industry workers.
Talking about Ajay Devgn, the actor was last seen in ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’. The film co-starring Saif Ali Khan and Kajol turned out to be a major success. The ‘Singham’ actor has several exciting projects in his kitty including Bhuj: The Pride Of India’, ‘Maidaan’, ‘RRR’ and the remake of ‘Kaithi’.
